Tourists admiring an ancient Huon Pine tree on the banks
of the Gordon River on Tasmania's west coast.

This tree was believed to be well over 2000 years of age and it sadly
came crashing to the ground in 1997 .after a severe storm.

Trees can grow 20 to 40 meters high and grow mostly in association
with other rainforest trees such as myrtle and blackwood.
