What a great site. Visited Tasmania recently and was amazed at the great woodwoking skills utilised by traders at the Salamanca markets. Very unique gifts, at a great price, considering the work that MUST go into them. Love this site. Keep up the good work!!!!

Five years ago in response to a phone call by me from Canberra you sent me a cottage for my approval by post from northern Tasmania, I was ecstatic and during my recent visit to Wynyard collected another one for a wedding gift for my youngest daughter who will marry a woodturner from England later this year. Now I intend to telephone to order another for my eldest daughter who loves Huon Pine as I do. Thanks

Not only did all the links work but all the mini links worked too! And what treasures you have created! I especially love the matchbox miniatures and the tinker's wagon - looks like I'd better get saving! Many many congratulations on a lovely and interesting site!

Talk about attention to detail! I searched for miniature pubs online and found your Outback Pub... I returned from a vacation in Australia in Spetember and was amazed to find not only a miniature pub... but an Aussie pub! Very cool. I am so impressed that you handcraft these cottages and scenes by hand! Awesome. I'm so jealous. (laughs) Best of luck in the future!

I am a former Tasmanian and ever since leaving Tasmania I have collected many items made from Huon Pine or Tasmanian timbers. A few years ago before my parents left Tasmania they brought me one of your miniature cottages and it has been a much admired treasure in my lounge room by many of my friends and relatives. Thank you for creating such a beautiful treasure.

Wonderful pictures of your cottages. I am quite impressed the with the quality and detail, especially of the miners cottage (my favorite of the group I think). I visited Hobart twice with the US Navy and both times witnessed many creations using Huon Pine, but never had the forethought or the money to purchase the pieces that I wanted. Now that I am no longer in the Navy (which will make it decidedly more difficult to travel to Tazmania!) I am searching to find a couple pieces of the Huon tailored to something striking. I definitely believe I have found it! Of course, I am going to school now which leaves no money in the budget once again, but your site is bookmarked and I will return when I have saved some money to retrieve that miner's cottage!

Dear Wolf,
I am floating on air! I was having a terrible day today, and I received your parcel an hour ago. I simply cannot thank you enough! Your work is beyond reproach! I have carried my "Settler's Cottage" from room to room, sitting it upon mantles, in antique cabinets, all over the house! I think I seem to keep moving it, simply because I want it next to me as I move through my house! The intricate nature, the precision, it amazes me. I've seen your work online, but having it in my hands today, I am just so incredibly pleased! The wood itself has the most enchanting aroma, as well! I went back to you site, and read about the trees. I feel so fortunate to have one of these miraculous works in my possession. Again, I simply cannot thank you enough, for gifting me with one of these incredible works of art! It is one of the most beautiful gifts I have ever received! If it is all right with you, I would love to brag about it, with my miniature lists, is that OK? Telling them about your work, and adding the link.

Great craftsmen ship, capturing the essence of pioneer Tasmania. The beauty of this unique Tasmanian wood resonates the wonder of the Tasmanian landscape. The wood, if one allows their imagination to run free, can testify to the steadfastness of the early explorers such as Able Tasman, and the spirit of the traditional owners of the land. It is amazing to see how this wonderful wood has been transformed into beautiful pieces of Art. Keep up the fantastic work.

Hey Wolf!!
Prize or no prize your work deserves wonderful comments!! I have really enjoyed my visit to your site. I am in amazement of your work. It is so tiny and so beautiful!! You can see the love you have for this type of work in your miniatures. They are terrific!! I am a beginner in miniatures and have been learning to make some 1" things but when I see these tiny little houses and rooms that you make I am awe struck!! If I could ever attain a fourth of what you can do with your hands I will be happy!! Thanks for sharing your site with us and showing us what a wonderful talent you have.
Thanks so much, Cheryl USA.

Your work is absolutely beautiful! You are not only an artist and master woodworker but a creator. You have taken a block of pine and turned it into a masterpiece

I particularly like your site for several reasons. One being the particularly wonderful miniatures you have created which look really incredible. Also because I have never heard of the wood you use and you cleverly put information about it to those wishing to to read. Finally, the prices of your miniatures seems to be most reasonable - top marks all round in fact!

I want to move into the settlers cottage. The outhouse is precious, the landscaping is very realistic and the steps will allow for daily excersize. LOL. And right on a lake.....yes I could live there. SO when can I move in??

Your site and work are absolutely terrific! Your creativity and ability to create these tiny pieces is very rare indeed. This scale is my specialty and I salute you as I know the difficulty in creating quality even with the help of lazer work. Yours being totally hand done is almost unbelievable! I have never seen such detail in this scale and I thank you for sharing it with me and others who believe in thinking small! You are an inspiration to us all!
Thank you, Anita. USA.

The workmanship is unbelievable! Incredible detail for such a tiny scale! The cottages are very much underpriced, and ALL of them are worth more than the listed prices.

Having just received my 'Riverside Cottage', I had to comment just what a little treasure I think it is! I can well understand how and why each model Wolf makes will be totally individual, depending on the shape and feel of the piece of wood he begins with. I now feel I have not only a piece of Tasmanian art in my UK home, but also a piece of Tasmanian history because of the wood he uses, and which I learnt about on this site.

Dear Wolf.
How proud you must be to exhibit such masterpieces of your great imagination and patience. I am a Woodturner and appreciate the fineness of your work as I do some miniature turning for a client, eg: dinner plates, bowls, bottles, goblets down to 1mm diam.(Smallest) To see yours puts me in the furtherest background. An inspiration to myself and all your site visitors. Many Thanks it has been a pleasure and I will put your site in my favourites

( Don't put yourselves down Danny, others will do that for you and that, I think, is doubtful)

Your site is full of interesting information, not only about your excellent workmanship but of the tools and medium. Tragic how people have used the natural resources to such a point you now have to pay to collect what should all be ours to use and cherish. Thanks for teaching me something today! Cheers

Dawn

Hi Dawn, it seems you are not checking your email. Take a look, some good news for you! Wolf.

Without wishing to be rude, I never expected to find someone in Tasmania doing the type of miniature woodworking that you do. I think it looks exquisite and being of a natural endemic plant it is very earth friendly as well. I shall have to return again a few times to explore the site some more.

Neville ZA.

Thanks Neville.

I was very impressed by your work - very original and quite unique. The added features of the smoke coming from the chimney was fantastic and brought the piece to life. This would make a great gift that would please all ages and cultures and would bring to life memories of ones visit to Tasmania as Huon Pine is a genuine part of Tasmania which you see in most places when travelling there.

Thank you for the experience Meredith. Melbourne AU

Great to get some 'local' comment, Thanks Meredith
